Gamescom 2013 is only a day from now and with games like Battlefield 4 and CoD Ghosts in the mix, we can all expect to see some very juicy content to be unveiled. Dice Studios has already confirmed that they’ll be showcasing a new map and game mode at the conference and as for CoD Ghosts, Infinity Ward will be live-streaming a multiplayer session on Xbox Live.
Respawn Entertainment’s Titanfall, a thrilling new mecha FPS, will also be making an appearance and no news have been released pertaining to what Respawn plans to show from this game. Splinter Cell: Blacklist from Ubisoft is slated to appear as well, revealing more of their newly designed multiplayer named Spies Vs. Mercs.
Gamescom begins August 20th with press conferences from EA, Sony and Microsoft. Many big announcements will be made, such as the release dates for the PS4 and Xbox One. Each company will also be providing exclusive information on the latest next-gen games and is speculated to give a glimpse of what’s to come later on this year. The schedule for the press conferences can be found below:
Microsoft has yet to state when their press conference will begin. All three companies will live-streaming their respective conferences, with the exception of Microsoft who has commented that they will be streaming on Xbox Live for the duration of the event. Fortunately, I have a subscription for Xbox Live and will be watching that as well as the rest of these streams to perpetually provide updates. IGN will be providing a majority of the Sony coverage on their page so check it out.
Gamescom 2013 kicks off August 20th at 1:00 AM PST / 4:00 AM EST and ends on August 25th.
