Summer Anime Impression ’13

Free! (KyoAni): KyoAni always has a unique pick up and producing semi-interesting titles. Free! will be first of them and it will be early to tell. It has gotten a lot of lot of attention for its girly name male leads and having said male leads showing some skin in the sport of swimming. But hey, I really quite impressed with the art style and found some elements that they have used in past anime they have made like K-on and such. In fact, the music in this show has good atmosphere between the scene and characters. It contains the same great Kyo-Animation most fans have come to know, so it’s not all bad.  I am will likely to continue watching this series because this is first sport anime  has a swimming sport and I will keep on watching.

Gatchaman Crowds
Gatchaman Crowds (Tatsunoko Production): Tatsunoko has begins to reboot the 1972 anime series Science Ninja Team Gatchaman to promote the live action movie that is due out later this year. The art style is really different compares to original series. If you want to watch this series to get amped up for movie, go ahead. I am will likely to continue watching for Hajime Ichinose and their battle suits is a mecha formed which is awesome!

Love Lab
Love Lab (Dogakobo) This show has caught me by surprised because it felt like  this show would be funny. The first episode is an introduction to the characters and by end of the show you will see four characters in the show. I’m going out of my way say that this was possibly the best chemistry between two characters I’ve seen in year. I’m looking forward to watch this anime. I wonder how this will turned out.

WATAMOTE ~ No Matter How I Look At It, It’s You Guys’ Fault I’m Unpopular! (Silver Link): This show is must watch for this season because everyone can relate to this anime in their lives. I like the character designs in this anime and the music is so good. Even, the manga is in chapter 45 and I can see this series will have multiple seasons and I really like the effects in this anime.

Overall, this season have a lot of squeals from past seasons like Genshiken and The World God Only Knows. We haven’t see a good season since Fall 2010 and I know I have not cover every anime from this season. But these anime has caught my eyes plus Genshiken and The World God Only Knows: Goddesses arc. I hope  these series will turned out pretty good as I expect them to.
