Artist: SHINee
Album: “Hello”
Label: SM Entertainment
Year: 2010
Intro
This marks my first purchase into SHINee or “Shin-E” as I like calling them. I bought the repackaged album as opposed to buying “Lucifer” because “Hello” is “Lucifer” with additional songs. I also bought it because I liked the two titled tracks.
Good
The two titled tracks with some various other tracks were great. I also liked the fact that there are a lot of songs on this album. There are 16 total songs which is rare for a KPop album. Another great thing is that the members themselves took the time to write some of the lyrics to some of the songs.
Bad
Like a lot of SM Entertainment artists, when it comes to putting together full length LPs, SHINee kind of failed to put together a great album from top to bottom. I found myself skipping through a lot of their other songs after their hits. I feel that if I paid that much for a full length album, I should be entertained through the entire thing.
Overview
I feel that it’s a good album, but it’s not great. I’m not itching to listen to their other songs after “Hello”. “Ayo” was a great listen along with “One”. The other songs make me go “meh”.
Overall rating: 3/5
