“The Perfect Couple” (2007 Korean movie) review

I decided to watch this movie because I had no idea what to watch so I watched it randomly. I opted to forego reading the synopsis.

A detective and a reporter must work together to stop crime throughout Seoul while filming a television series. Both must also learn to get along as they are both from different ends of the spectrum.

It was pretty funny with some good action sequences. I felt that both of the main characters had the same objectives, yet had different methods and reasons to reaching their primary goal. I think the characterizations made the movie stand out as the story was bland. The two main roles kept you interested in what they wanted to achieve.

I wouldn’t expect this movie to ever be nominated for any kind of awards as it’s a Korean B level movie. The acting, story, action, and comedy were just adequate.

I was entertained but felt that it’s not one worth going to the movies for or buying on DVD.  I’m not quite sure if it’s on Blu Ray or not. It’s just one of those movies worth watching only once.

Overall rating: 3/5
