AOA’s “Miniskirt” EP review

AOA-Miniskirt-MV-4

Artist: AOA

Album: “Miniskirt” EP

Label: FNC Entertainment

Year: 2014

Intro

Last year, I bought this EP on iTunes because I wanted to give groups I wasn’t as familiar with a listen.  I went with this one because it was the most recent hit they had at the time.  It wasn’t until now that I’m posting a review.  Attending KCON 2015 also prompted me to write some stuff too considering they were there.

Good

This album is pretty much laced with an intro and two songs.  The lead single “Miniskirt” helped raise them up in the KPop girl group tier list.  “Under the Street Light” was a pretty good song with that R&B feel.  It was a very sensual song.

Bad

The EP was very short.  When you give it a listen, before you know it, it’s all over.  Even if it was an EP, I was hoping for a little more depth, but they had other releases later on in the year which makes up for it.  The instrumental does not add to the depth unfortunately.

Overview

It was a decent short album for what you get out of it.  You pretty much get what you paid for.  If you buy digitally, you can survive just buying two songs instead of the whole thing.

Overall rating: 2.5/5
