On May 7th to 8th, Bushiroad held their Spring Fest in Anaheim, California at the Anaheim Convention Center. The first day was for Vanguard while day two was for both Weiss Schwarz and Buddy Fight. I attended to compete in the Weiss Schwarz tournament. This event marked my second official regional tournament and my first Spring one.

I liked the location in Anaheim more than in Pomona, but it was in a single room towards the top floor. Everything else in the convention was barren as there were no other events scheduled that weekend. Other than that, I enjoyed the venue much more than Fairplex.

Apparently at this event, less people enter than its fall counterpart. It was wrong timing as day two fell on Mother’s Day which may have turned people away from the event. Even though it was on a holiday, a lot of people came ready to compete ranging from all kinds of demographics. Kids, adults, guys, ladies, anime fans, intense competitors, and more all were trying to win.

Although I didn’t do as well as I had hoped, I felt like I did a great job in competing and made me realize that I could always improve. I look forward to attending the fall version of this event once again.
