Intro
Over the course of time, groups in KPop come and go. Some stand the test of time while some disband. GFriend is one of the freshest faces in the scene and put out some catchy songs which is why I opted to check out their third EP, “Snowflake”. I liked their previous mini albums.
Good
The two songs I felt that best represented their cutesy image were “Luv Star” and “Someday”. Those two songs sounded like the essence of bubblegum pop. Those were the two songs that really caught me ear.
Bad
I honestly didn’t feel their lead single, “Rough” was that great. The song itself didn’t sell me on the album. I saw it as a basic song and felt their other songs were better served to be the single to represent the album.
Overview
I see that GFriend is making strides in the overcrowded world of KPop. I see them making some steps in solidifying their fan base in future years especially if they stick with this current cute concept they are in the process of perfecting. They seem to have a lot of hype behind them even without the backing of a major agency.
