Mimori Suzuko’s “Light for Knight” review

Artist: Mimori Suzuko
Album: “Light for Knight”
Label: Pony Canyon
Year: 2015

Once again, I bought more music from Mimori Suzuko, this time not just because I enjoyed her role as Umi Sonoda in “Love Live” but this time because I legitimately enjoy her music. With each project she releases, I enjoy her songs more and more which helps distinguish her solo music career from her group activities with the other eight.

Although the titled track was the headliner, the song I really loved and continues to grow on me is “Smilium”. That song can easily bring me happiness at any given moment and is now one of my favorite B side JPop songs.

I was disappointed that it hasn’t been added to a full length LP which I would be more than willing to pay for. I crave more.

These two songs from this EP are definitely still in my rotation of songs I listen to for leisure. I definitely recommend this EP for all JPop and anime music enthusiasts. I feel that Mimorin is at the top of my favorite Love Live seiyuu due to putting out a great discography of music outside of her work in anime.
