Intro
I was asked by a friend why I didn’t have any music from Oh My Girl, and I responded that there were too many groups that debuted around the same time. Many groups slip through the cracks for me. I decided to try out their music before checking out any music videos, appearances on television shows, and other media. I wanted to judge them for music first before judging them on anything else, so we’re going to start five EPs in starting with this 2017 release.
Good
The titled track is pretty decent song to promote the project. The next song, “Real World” was pretty decent as it carried on the momentum from the first song. The stand out song for me was “Agit” because it was more down tempo then turns it up to be more upbeat, but somehow the voices stood out and made me realize that they have vocals. “In My Dreams” is more of an acoustic song which is a nice change of pace. “Perfect Day” was a near perfect way to end the extended play.
Bad
Some songs were above average, but they were not great. I’d say the EP itself is very solid, but realistically, I won’t go out of my way to seek to listen to the album unless I see it while looking for music to hear. It realistically doesn’t stand out to me, but that doesn’t mean it’s a bad album. It’s good, but not great.
Overview
Overall, it was a great first project for me to check out even though they’ve had multiple EPs that were released since their debut. I’ll be checking more of their music as I’ll have to go back in time to see what else they had.
