Dream Ami’s “Try Everything” EP review

Artist: Dream Ami
Album: “Try Everything” EP
Label: AVEX Trax
Year: 2016

As a fan of her work in Dream, Dance Earth Party, and E-Girls along with her solo career, I made it a mission to check out all of her music as she is my favorite female singer in Japan. What made this single album awesome is that the song was used for the Japanese version of Disney’s “Zootopia”. She pretty much had the same role as Shakira did.

In terms of music, what makes her wonderful to listen to is her vocal range and her ability to hit the high notes. Her voice vacuums you in as you can’t escape her harmoney. You hear it in the three songs.

I did get the EP knowing all these songs will be available in the full length album when it comes out later in 2017 titled “Re: Dream”. Just three songs leave me wanting more of her music as I loved this project along with her other EPs that will end up on her LP as well.

I honestly can’t wait to see what else she has in store as she was already a talented lead vocalist in Dream and E-Girls. I loved Dream Ami’s rendition of “Try Everything” more than Shakira’s and that was great. This album also makes me want to check out the Japanese dub of “Zootopia”.
