Intro
When this album became available to buy digitally, I had to buy it immediately. This group actually is one of my favorite groups overall because I know about the quality of music they release. I know it would be a tall task to surpass or at least equal their previous works, but they set the bar high enough for me to have those kinds of expectations.
Good
I love Minami. She brings a presence that makes her stand out. I’d say she’s a better version of former 2NE1 leader, CL because of how much swag she has, her ability to create art in a song, stage presence, and her improved rapping ability. I’d say she’s a better version because she can sing and write too.
Staxxx T is amazing because he can switch up the styles from song to song without ruining the concept of the song and album. If you want JPop, you got it. If you want hip-hop, you also got it. You can get R&B while you’re at it along with EDM. Together, they’re fire.
Bad
If you’re comparing it to their previous two albums, it’s not as good, but it doesn’t mean it’s not great. I gave those previous albums a 5/5 which is hard to match because how great they were. This is a fantastic album, but not life altering like the other two. I still really love the composition of this album and can easily listen to this album top to bottom.
Overview
They really can’t release a bad project because to date, all their releases have been terrific. No other artist can switch up styles on a song to song basis. What makes this album even more incredible is that they don’t have any known guest appearances like the predecessors. It’s primarily Minami and Staxx T.
