Artist: BiSH
Album: “THE GUERRiLLA BiSH”
Label: Avex Entertainment
Year: 2017
Intro
BiSH is an awesome group and not like any idol group due to being able to successfully incorporate JRock into their music. There are those that may fuse other genres, but not many like BiSH can make it work. I’ve enjoyed their previous releases from the independents to being on a bigger label. I’m excited to see what they have in store.
Good
To have “My landscape” as the first song to set the tone for the entire album was a bold choice. It started off the album the best way possible. This album also had previously released singles like “GiANT KiLLERS” and “Promise the Star” which were some great songs that had to be included in this 13 track LP. What I also loved about the diversity of this album was that it was various styles of rock like metal, punk, and ska, not just one kind of rock.
Bad
The album started great, but it was hard to keep the momentum of “My landscape” going on. Not too many songs were able to live up to that single even though you had the previous singles placed strategically. The B side tracks weren’t great, but they were adequate which is all you can ask for.
Overview
Yes, there are groups that incorporate a metal feel into their music and stage show, but in my opinion, BiSH makes it work the most. Of course, there’s Babymetal, but they have a cutesy side to their performances. BiSH removes themselves from that and have a more ruthless, aggressive, and rebellious mentality.
