Label: AVEX Entertainment Inc.
Year: 2019
Intro
Obviously, if and when Dream Ami releases anything, I have to get it immediately. When the video dropped, I watched it. When the song released, I listened to it. When the single was available, I got it instantly. When the other songs became available, I also had to get it as soon as possible. What can I say? I’m a Dream Ami fanboy.
Good
The only original song on this EP is the titled single which also is used for the soundtrack for the Japanese anime movie, “Eiga no Osomatsu-san”. It just also happens to be a very catchy song especially the guitar riff.
Bad
The other two songs are new versions of previously released songs in “Positive” and “Himawari”. I actually like the tofubeats produced version of “Positive” more as it’s actually the most listened song on my iTunes while I prefer the E-Girls version of “Himawari” since it includes the other vocalists.
The guitar riff from “Good Goodbye” also sounds pretty similar to the classic version of “Positive” which I assume caused a change in the song for this release.
Overview
Besides the titled single, this EP doesn’t really offer anything new especially with the rehashes. I do love the songs, but remaking older songs doesn’t cut it. It’s definitely for the Dream Ami fans out there.
