Intro
As E-Girls is my favorite JPop group, I’ve covered music by the various sub-units, Dream, and Flower, but I haven’t covered any from Happiness until now. This variation of Happiness includes Karen, Miyuu, Ruri, Sayaka, Kaede, Anna Suda, and Yurino as some previous members had left the group.
Good
If the music of Dream is more pop heavy and Flower’s music is leaning towards the R&B side, then Happiness fully embraces their hip-hop side with that aggression as they’re younger than the other two groups by average age. I feel that that the titled single along with the B side “Ain’t No Limit” would be great for KPop fans to segue to JPop since it has that high BPM.
Bad
To be honest, on my first listen, I wasn’t a fan of the songs. I think these songs have to go with something aggressive like working out at the gym or grinding away on projects. I don’t think it goes too well with lack of activities. It definitely grows on you during multiple listens.
Overview
As of this writing, Happiness is the only group within E-Girls that’s still a group as Dream and Flower aren’t promoting as a group for the foreseeable future. The good thing is that they have youth on their side and they’ve been a group for about a decade. They have plenty of time to pump out projects.
