Artist: Twice
Album: “Twicetagram”
Label: JYP Entertainment
Year: 2017
Intro
After having hit after hit and having successful consecutive EP releases, the girls of Twice have officially released a full-length LP with “Twicetagram” which also is a play on their Instagram account. Obviously, for being the biggest reigning girl group in all of Korea, their expectations are there which they should pass with flying colors.
Good
Although “Likey” is the lead single, the standout track for me was “FFW”, but a lot of the songs are really catchy
Each year they take the next step forward to evolving not just as a Korean idol group but also as artists as some of the latter tracks being written by various members. Although J.Y. Park still is hands on with creating the album, he doesn’t seem like he has to pen nor produce a majority of the songs
Bad
Although members of Twice have written one song before here and there, it’s the first time they’ve taken the steering wheel to ensure that the album reflects their image. It’s their first outing doing this, so they’ll only get better with time.
Overview
Twice fans should be happy knowing that Twice put out a really good album. I thought I would be skipping through songs but found the need to not have to. I feel that this is their best release overall up to date as even the B side tracks are ranged from decent to fantastic. I’ve officially let the album loop which shows how good it is.
