Artist: Orange Caramel
Album: “A-ing” EP
Label: Pledis Entertainment
Year: 2010
Intro
This release marks the second release of After School’s popular sub-unit, Orange Caramel. It consists of Raina, Lizza, and Nana. With their popularity their first time around and the momentum they have with After School along with individual work, they are back to release more music.
Good
This mini album came with four songs, five if you include the instrumental for the title track. “A-ing” is a really catchy song and sounds like it’s for the kids. The song was good but the one that I really liked was “One Love”. I feel that it’s a song better suited for them as a single and a very underrated song.
Bad
It does have a diverse set of songs. It’s as diverse as it could get with only four songs minus an instrumental. With that being said, the best songs are the first two songs since Orange Caramel is best known for their fun and catchy songs. They’re not really known for their ballads which are in the second half of the mini album. It’s not bad or anything, but for those that listen to the group for their ear pleasing songs, they may skip the ballads.
Overview
It’s a decent album. It’s a good buy if you’re looking to buy digitally, but I really think it’s an EP that’s best for streaming. I also have to say that they do have a visually pleasing music video with the bright colors and themes which is something they’ll also be very well known for down the road.
