Artist: Sistar
Album: “Alone” EP
Label: Starship Entertainment
Year: 2012
Intro
The girls are back but this time with a mini album. They teased a more mature look compared to their prior comebacks which is something to look forward to. They would also use a different concept which got the fans excited.
Good
I totally loved this concept. They came out with a more mature feel sound and image wise. In their prior concepts, they went with the more fun look and a more pop look. This time they went with a sultrier look and evolved with their music. They definitely aimed to be more R&B this time around. I felt that there was a more “Independent Women” from Destiny’s Child type of feel to this album.
Bad
I totally was feeling this concept as I felt that it helped them grow as artists and people. Like a lot of people, I was hoping for more. I would have liked some more songs to showcase what else they had. It was a very good album.
Overview
This album helped elevate Sistar into super stardom. It also made me an even bigger fan up to the point where I rank them as one of my favorites. As a huge fan of R&B, I can listen to the EP many times.
Overall rating: 4/5
